Partner Success Manager – Account Growth & Inside Sales
Community Tax is looking for a Partner Success Manager to manage, develop, and grow relationships with our referral partners.
This is a relationship-driven account management role with a consultative sales component. Our referral partners have already chosen to work with Community Tax, so you won't spend your day cold calling strangers looking for the next prospect.
Instead, you'll help partners become successful with Community Tax—building relationships, increasing referral activity, solving problems, re-engaging less-active accounts, and identifying additional solutions that can provide value to their businesses.
This isn't a traditional high-pressure sales role—and it isn't a traditional customer service role.
We're looking for someone in between: a relationship builder with commercial instincts.
What You'll Do
You'll manage an assigned portfolio of Community Tax referral partners and serve as their primary day-to-day point of contact.
You'll:
The Person We're Looking For
The strongest Partner Success Managers understand that relationship building and sales aren't competing responsibilities.
You build trust, ask good questions, understand what a partner needs, recognize opportunities, recommend appropriate solutions, and aren't afraid to ask for the business when the solution makes sense.
You don't need to be a hard-closing, commission-driven salesperson to succeed here. But you do need to be comfortable with sales, persuasion, business conversations, measurable goals, and being accountable for growth.
You may be a strong fit if you:
Your previous title might be Account Manager, Inside Sales Representative, Customer Success Manager, Partner Success Manager, Relationship Manager, Business Development Representative, or something completely different.
We're more interested in whether you've developed the right combination of relationship and commercial skills.
Compensation & Incentives
Base Salary: $50,000
In addition to base salary, Partner Success Managers are eligible for:
Consultative Solution Sales
As part of the role, you'll be trained to introduce, demonstrate, and sell CTAX Intelligence, our subscription-based SaaS transcript solution designed specifically for our target market.
This is consultative selling: understand the partner's business, identify a need, demonstrate the solution, answer questions, address objections, and confidently ask for the business when there's a good fit.
The goal isn't to turn every conversation into a sales pitch. It's to know your partners well enough to recognize when Community Tax has something that can genuinely help them—and to be comfortable having that conversation.
A Seasonal Change of Pace
From approximately March through May, Partner Success Managers also help Community Tax's consumer sales organization manage increased tax-season demand.
You'll receive comprehensive Phase One tax resolution sales training and work with qualified prospective clients to understand their needs, explain our Phase One service, and help appropriate clients enroll.
You'll also have an opportunity to earn additional sales incentives during this seasonal assignment.
After tax season, your primary focus returns to your referral partner portfolio.
Qualifications
Hybrid Work & Travel
This is a hybrid position with an expectation of working in the office at least three days per week.
Periodic travel is required for industry trade shows, conferences, partner meetings, and partner events.
What Success Looks Like
Success isn't simply having a portfolio of partner accounts.
It's having partners who are active, engaged, growing, referring clients, adopting valuable solutions, and continuing to do business with Community Tax.
Our philosophy is straightforward:
We make promises we can keep—and we keep them.
If you're a relationship builder with a commercial mindset—someone who can earn trust, solve problems, recognize opportunities, and comfortably move a good business conversation toward action—we'd like to hear from you.
