The Tax Reviewer position requires an experienced tax professional with the ability to think and work independently as well as part of a team. You should have strong communication skills with an eye for detail, the ability to multi-task, and an interest in process improvement and mentoring of tax preparers. The Tax Reviewer oversees the work product of a team of tax preparers in a high-volume environment, ensuring quality and compliance, and prepares complex returns as required. This is a FULL TIME role. However, we will also consider Qualified candidate desiring a PART TIME professional Tax Preparation Review role.

Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing client tax returns and review tax returns prepared by tax prep team
- Ensure delivery of client returns and extensions in a timely manner; meet deadlines.
- Mentor and educate staff on complex tax issues as needed.
- Utilize knowledge and experience to ensure best product is delivered to clients.
- Update workflow priorities to include high priority cases; manage tasks effectively.
- Respond to client concerns; perform daily client interaction and coordination of team tasks
- Analyze, interpret and/or make deductions from varying facts/circumstances presented by client cases; perform research as needed to resolve client tax issues.
What you should bring to the role:
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing 1040 (with all schedules), 1120S, 1065, 940 and 941 returns.
- Experience leading and mentoring and reviewing work of other tax preparers on a team.
- Strong technology skills including Microsoft office, CRM, and tax preparation software (Lacerte exp. a plus)
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A keen eye for detail and professional engaging client demeanor
- Bilingual Fluency in English/Spanish is a plus
Education and other requirements:
- Four Year Degree with emphasis in Business or Accounting preferred
- Current/Active CPA or EA license
